In March 1738, the proclamation of Spanish Florida’s royal Governor, Don Manuel de Montiano, officially established Gracia Real de Santa Teresa de Mose, the first free African community in what is now the continental U.S.  As part of Florida Living History, Inc.’s (FLH’s) 2015 “St. Augustine’s 450th Anniversary” commemorations and in conjunction with Florida Heritage Month, join volunteers from FLH - in partnership with Fort Mose Historic State Park and the Fort Mose Historical Society - in this heritage Event saluting the 277th anniversary of
