Juried Alumni Exhibition

The Crisp-Ellert Art Museum and Flagler College are delighted to announce our forthcoming, juried alumni exhibition. The exhibition will open with a reception for the artists on Friday, May 15, from 5 until 9pm, in conjunction with Alumni Weekend, and will continue through June 19.

The works in the exhibition will encompass painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, performance and installation, by a diverse group of artists who reflect the ever-changing and forward thinking nature of Flagler College’s fine art curriculum over the past 30 years.

Artists include: Brianna Angelakis, Matthew Batty, Brad Brewer, Jeremy Dean, Rachel de Cuba, Amelia Eldridge, Kasha Fahy, Daniel Florez, Chuck Foster, Morgan Gesell Mudryk, Rebecca Hoadley, Charlotte Holmes Murray, Rachael Horne, Maja Hydbom, Kevin Mahoney, Russell Maycumber, Derek O’Brien, Roberto Ortiz, Aly Schaper, Joe Segal, Theresa Segal, Grace Shipman, Valerie Sloan, Tara Stephens, Ryan Tempro, Zach Thomas, and Andrew Wilson.

The juror for this year's exhibition is Kristan Kennedy, an artist, curator and educator based in Portland, Oregon. Kennedy has held the position of Visual Art Curator at the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (PICA) for the past decade, where she focuses on commissioning new work by international emerging artists in the form of large-scale, site-specific installations and solo projects that exist at the borders of genres. 

She has had recent exhibitions at Soloway, Brooklyn, NY, Fourteen30 Contemporary, Portland, Misako & Rosen, Tokyo, and Zzzzzzz, New York.

Kennedy currently teaches Contemporary Art History at Portland State University, where she also organizes their MFA Visiting Artist Program and Lecture Series.
