Live from The Waterworks: The Driftwoods with The Taildraggers

The St. Johns Cultural Council and Gamble Rogers Folk Festival present The Driftwoods and The Taildraggers for “Live from The Waterworks” on October 21st, 2023.

Celebrate the legendary recording artist Gamble Rogers whose balladry and storytelling shaped American folk music. On the third Saturday of each month, a local musician will open for a nationally known act at The Waterworks (184 San Marco Avenue), built in 1898 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

On October 21st, The Driftwoods and The Taildraggers perform. Doors at 6:30, show starts at 7 PM.

ABOUT THE DRIFTWOODS
The Driftwoods are a musical family of friends, and have been performing together in Northern Florida and the Southeast for over 30 years. Eric Searcy is on the banjo and dobro, Gabriel Valla on mandolin and guitar, Elisabeth Williamson on rhythm guitar and banjo, and Lon Williamson is on the upright bass. Everyone sings!

Each member brings years of performing experience to the stage as well as a great variety of songs and styles. From original to contemporary and old-time tunes, their song variety is one of the hallmarks of their stage presentation.
