Marlene Zullig is a local stained glass and jewelry artist. She can’t remember a time in her life when she wasn’t creating art, but it wasn’t until she was introduced to the art of stained glass and metal crafting while living and working in Switzerland that a light started to burn brightly within her. Inspired by the beauty of Switzerland, Marlene began her long career creating beautiful glass art through courses she took abroad and later in New Jersey and New York. Along the way, she combined a 25-year career in teaching Gifted Education and Media Education with an active career in art. She holds a B. S. in Education degree (summa cum laude), an M.L.S. degree, and Certification in Teaching Gifted Education.
Marlene and her family hold dual Swiss/U. S. citizenship and enjoy big family reunions in the Swiss Alps where she gathers her old world inspiration. Her award-winning work is an eclectic mix of functional art–lamps, mosaic mirrors, jewelry–and one-of-a-kind stained glass windows, panels, fused glass, and sterling silver pieces. Her work graces homes and businesses both here and abroad.
Marlene is a member of the St. Augustine Art Association, The Art League of Daytona Beach, a board member of AGOSA, and President of the P.A.St.A. Art Gallery, 214 Charlotte Street, as well as a member of Riverside Fine Art Gallery, Daytona Beach, Florida.
