The St. Augustine Archaeological Association hosts a virtual lecture discussing the impact of climate change and human activity on historic sites.
As climate change threatens cultural heritage sites, it is necessary that we mitigate impacts to our most significant sites before rising tides claim them. Fort Mose, the first legally sanctioned free African American settlement in what became the United States, is certainly a site that merits urgent intervention.
