Originally formed in Santa Barbara, CA in 2004, Rebelution’ s strong DIY mentality, relentless touring and deep connection to their fan base via social media, has led them to being one of the best-selling reggae artists on the planet. Since the 2007 release of Courage to Grow, the band’s first full-length album, Rebelution’ s music has been praised for its crafty melodies, socially-conscious lyrics and savvy musicianship. Courage to Grow was selected as the iTunes Editor’s Choice for Best Reggae Album, went to #4 on Billboard’s Reggae charts. Bright Side of Life, the band’s second album (2009), took the #1 spot on iTunes in the Reggae music genre, charted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Reggae Albums, and #54 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums charts. With the band’s 2012 album Peace of Mind having debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Reggae and Independent charts, and at #13 on the Top 200 Albums chart, Rebelution followed up with Count Me In, their fourth full-length release. Count Me In debuted on the Billboard Top 200 at #14 and marked the band’s third consecutive #1 Reggae album. “Too blessed to be stressed,” is one of many key song lyrics from Count Me In. And while surely every band has its share of stress, Rebelution feels they have been “too blessed” to have much time to worry about it. Said guitarist/singer Eric Rachmany about the band in its decade milestone, “we still have the same energy as we did as a young band, if not more. The more experience we had doing this, the more inspired we became.”
