Rosanne Colvard is Featured Artist at P.A.St.A. Art Gallery

Rosanne Colvard is a printmaker, painter, photographer, and textile designer.  This multitalented artist is a native born Floridian and the featured artist at the P.A.St.A. Art Gallery for November.  She studied art at Stetson University and Bowie State University, receiving her Master of Art degree from the University of Maryland.  She studied printmaking with Alan Kaneshiro at the National Collection of Fine Arts (now the National Portrait Gallery) and was a founding member of the Washington Women’s Printmaking group in D. C.  She also did additional studies at Anne Arundel Community College.  Colvard taught art at Annapolis Senior High School.

Her award-winning art has been shown at the Baltimore Museum of Art, the Salmagundi Print Club in New York City, and numerous galleries in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.

Colors and shapes, flora and fauna are fascinating to her as she continues to explore the visual sentiments of life as well as the symbiosis of both nature, ancient and contemporary forms.

The show’s opening will coincide with the Art Walk on Friday, November 2, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the P.A.St.A. Art Gallery, 214 Charlotte Street.  Refreshments served.  Always free.
