All students of ballet, ages 8 years and up and regardless of studio affiliation are invited to audition for Saint Augustine Ballet’s seventh production of The Nutcracker. Registration for all dancers will begin at 8:30 a.m. and auditions begin promptly at 9:00a.m. at the studios of Abella’s School of Dance located at 1711 Lakeside Avenue, Unit 9. Registration forms are available at www.saintaugustineballet.com There is a non-refundable registration fee of $25 due at the time of the audition. Dancers must bring a 4 x 6″ photo in First Arabesque. Proper ballet attire is required: black leotard, pink tights, and hair in a bun for females; black dance pants and white shirt for males. Once cast there is an additional non-refundable $175 performance fee that covers master classes with guest artists, costume rental and fittings, and a cast t-shirt. All cast members must commit to the weekly rehearsal schedule (Saturdays from 10:30a.m. until 3:30 p.m.) and the pre-performance rehearsals the week of December 14th. Performances will take place at Lewis Auditorium on Saturday, December 19 and Sunday, December 20 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saint Augustine Ballet is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization.
