Salvador Dali - The Argillet Collection

Salvador Dalí is one of the most recognized, and often misunderstood, artists
world-wide! Dali’s legacy was cemented during his lifetime with two museums
fully dedicated to his artwork. He was the first artist to ever achieve this honor! His
association with the Surrealist Movement is widely known, yet his entire body of
work was vast and diverse. The Collection of Salvador Dalí artwork we have assembled
for our upcoming Exhibition and Sale this November 2018 is Historic!

The Argillet Collection consists of major works to include: original drawings, handwoven
Aubusson tapestries, sculpture, original copperplate etchings and rare books,
all are museum caliber works. This prestigious collection comes directly from the
archives of Jean Christophe Argillet, who’s father, Pierre Argillet, was Salvador Dali‘s
publisher and long-time collaborator. Their friendship of over 50 years cultivated
what many consider to be one of the finest bodies of Dali’s art.

This direct lineage back to the artist is critical in the world of Salvador Dalí. The artwork is of the highest quality, rarity and condition. It is heavily vetted and properly documented.
It is our hope that you will acquire these works and enjoy the art of Dalí for decades to
come and when it is time they will be passed onto your heirs or perhaps bequeathed
to museums and public institutions. Remember, we are all just caretakers of this
artwork for future generations!
