Slab Built Ceramic Spider Web Cups

In this one-time, 2 hour workshop, students will use lace to create a “spider-web” imprint into a slab of clay. You will receive step-by-step instructions to turn the slab into a cup, but you can also make it a planter or vase.

Students will also have to option to add a little clay spider to the cup, complete with high-fire (aka kiln-proof) metal legs! Underglazes will be available to add color that day, and students will fill out a glaze sheet for the teacher to make the vessel food-safe.

This class is geared more towards adults, but students ages 13 and up are welcome to attend. For any students aged 8-12, an accompanying adult must also purchase a spot to learn with them, side-by-side.
