St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival - Grand Tasting

The St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival will conclude on Sunday, February 17, with the Grand Tasting from 2-5 p.m. at the River House, 179 Marine Street. At the Grand Tasting, guests will be able to sample more than 100 authentic Spanish wines from the regions of Rioja, Penedès and Catalonia of the grape varieties Tempranillo, Garnacha, Albariño and many others accompanied by Spanish-inspired hors d’oeuvres. Knowledgeable wine professionals will provide interesting information and answer any questions about the wines. Dennis Fermin of Fermin Spanish Guitar will provide music for the event.

The 2019 St. Augustine Spanish Wine Festival is celebrating the 500th birthday of Pedro Menéndez, St. Augustine’s founder. The festival, which features Spanish wine to benefit local charities, is scheduled for February 15-17, 2019.

Each year charities are selected to benefit from proceeds raised by the festival. Since the festival began, more than $325,000 has been donated to local charities. This year’s benefiting charities are Flagler College’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Program, St. Johns County Council on Aging, HorsePlay Therapy Center and SAiRA Foundation.
