“The Box” is a two hour play that tells the story of Jack, a homeless Viet Nam War veteran with PTSD who sleeps in a box in a St. Augustine woods.
In "The Box," Sandy Shores, a radio talk personality (played by Nanette Weaver) from St. Augustine Radio WGAC, seeks out Jack for an interview. He is reluctant..."what's in it for me?" She persuades him to cooperate offering gift certificates to two local businesses. Jack answers her questions in a remarkable dialogue. Jack is a story-teller, a fighter and lover. a humorist, a theologian, but most of all, a survivor. He'll make you laugh and cry.
