Historian and author Roger Smith will speak on February 17 at the Peña-Peck House. This is a free event.
St. Augustine's pivotal role as the capital of British East Florida during the American Revolution comes to life when Dr. Roger Smith tells the story.
Dr. Smith received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida and speaks nationally on his Revolutionary War research including his discovery that Gov. Patrick Tonyn lived in the coquina structure known as the Peña-Peck House from 1778-1785.
Smith has authored a number of books on the American Revolution. He will sign copies of his books following the presentation. Admission is free.
