Directed by Beth Lambert, this marvelously theatrical drama is live onstage February 24 – March 19.
This story of a disturbed adolescent and his friendship with a disenchanted preacher is set in early 1930s Indiana. Having lost his mother and nearly drowning himself in an accident, the boy is deathly afraid of water. When the preacher finally gets the boy in the river to wash him, the townspeople mistake the scene for a baptism. What unfolds is a harrowing event that rocks the town forever.
