The Meyer Family: Photographers of St. Augustine and Tin Can Tourists by Bob Nawrocki

The St. Augustine Historical Society Speaker Series Presents: “The Meyer Family: Photographers of St. Augustine and Tin Can Tourists” by Bob Nawrocki, M.S.LIS., Chief Librarian, St. Augustine Historical Society Research Library on Monday, September 24th at 7 pm in the Flagler Room at Flagler College

The Meyer family resided in St. Augustine in the 1870s and 1880s and returned as tin can tourists after 1918. This talk will show their photographs, printed from glass plate negatives, and tell the story of this family. The family were prolific amateur photographers and their images show a side of St. Augustine that is usually not seen.
