Drake's Raid | ST. AUGUSTINE HISTORY FESTIVAL

Beginning at 7 PM, the armies of Spain and England will fight for possession of St. Augustine in this reenactment of Sir Francis Drake’s raid in 1586.

This is a historic district-wide event, beginning at the Oldest House Museums Complex, continuing to St. George Street in front of the Governor’s House, with an English victory finalized at the redoubt on Orange Ave.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The St. Augustine History Festival was created and conceived by UFHSA (University of Florida Historic St. Augustine, Inc.) for the purpose of generating excitement about the history of America’s oldest city. Every era of St. Augustine’s long and storied past is showcased through special events and historic venues – from its founding in 1565 to the most advanced technology available in 2023 to research and study every year in between.
