Friends Awesome August Book Sale

When you’re trapped indoors during those dog days of summer, there’s no better way to spend your time than with a good book! Come visit Friends Awesome August Book Sale at the Main Library and get bargain prices on amazing books – hardcover and paperback. As always, the Friday Preview Sale is reserved for members of Friends of the Main Library St. Augustine. Memberships are available for purchase at the door. Public Sale days are now Saturday and Monday, with the popular 4-Bucks-a-Bag and ½ Price Sale moving to Tuesday. Scanners are allowed only on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday.

The Saturday and Monday Public Sales feature many types of books, including fiction, nonfiction, cookbooks, self-help, classics, text, reference, and children’s books, as well as a large selection of special books and plenty of music CDs.

Plan to come back for the Tuesday 4-Bucks-a-Bag Sale and ½ Price Book Sale and help us clear off the tables! Customers can fill a paper grocery bag with books for $4.00. Bags (donated by Publix) will be provided at the sales desk.

Friends holds book sales frequently to raise funds and to promote membership. Everything for sale comes from community donations or materials removed from library holdings. All book sale proceeds support the Main Library’s needs. For more information call the Main Library at the number listed.
