Insider's Tour: St. Augustine's History & Heritage
A 3 day tour exploring the culturally diverse heritage of St. Augustine, America’s oldest city!
Explore the culturally diverse heritage of St. Augustine, America’s oldest city! By the time Jamestown, Virginia, was settled St. Augustine was already 42 years old.
Much of the locations on our tour are from the First Spanish Period (1565-1763), although we will also see the Second Spanish Period (1783 – 1821) and learn about other historic eras in this unique American city. A fabulous resource to learn more is the PBS series Secrets of Spanish Florida, which features Dr. J. Michael Francis, who will speak at our Opening Reception!
The cost for the 3 days is $250. Registration includes a welcome reception, special tours listed in the itinerary, two lunches during the tours and a boat tour of St. Augustine Harbor. Hotel reservations must be made separately. To protect guests, there will be a limit to the number of people who can attend the tour, and participants are asked to wear masks when social distancing isn’t possible.
