Lightner After Hours

A free monthly social event, where guests enjoy an early evening of music by talented local musicians, cocktails, light appetizers, and the elegant surroundings of the Lightner Museum. This event is free and open to the public.

This month, Lightner After Hours celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with a Latin-inspired musical performance by SUMA. Patrons will enjoy viewing Lightner’s collection of fine and decorative arts in the first floor galleries while listening to the melodic and percussive rhythms of salsa, samba, bossa nova, boleros and gypsy pop music by percussionist Sue Hadjopoulos and vocalist/guitarist Marianne Lerbs.  The former Hotel Alcazar’s Spanish Renaissance Revival style building provides a fitting stage for the duo’s multi-lingual delivery
