Shamarr Allen hails from the Lower 9th Ward. His influences in jazz, hip-hop, rock, funk, rhythm, blues, and country have found him fronting “Shamarr Allen & The Underdawgs” as lead vocalist and trumpeter – in addition to establishing himself as an in-demand solo artist. Allen has collaborated with many renowned musicians around the world such as Willie Nelson, Patti LaBelle, Galactic, Harry Connick Jr, and Lenny Kravitz, to name a few.

A sought-after artist for international festivals and venues, Allen is also a music composer, writer, and producer.
