The instructor for this 6-week course is Allen Balogh. Mr. Balogh has twenty years of teaching U.S. Government and History at the secondary education level. Allen has conducted extensive research into this period of history including archival work at Castillo de la Real Fuerza, Havana, Cuba, and is a published author of four books; Black Sails 1715, award-winning Goat with the Glass Eye, A Perilous Journey from Cuba, and Mimi’s Mermaids. Allen also appeared on PBS Origins as a guest speaker and expert in their pirate series, Rogue History.
